“A Smile for a Cost“

                                    

            We know that every expression we will make tells a message or show what it means. A sharp eye when you’re criticizing a person, watery eyes when you feel alone and a lot more. Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of Mona Lisa gained its popularity in the whole world. Not only because of the beautiful and artistic painting of da Vinci but also because the painting caught everyone’s attention with Mona Lisa’s smile which they call it enigmatic.

          As I try looking at the famous artwork, Mona Lisa doesn’t have eyebrows. But I think that it has a part on expressing the girl’s expression. During the time it was made until today, Mona Lisa’s smile kept as a mystery that every person who will see her will be conscious and interested. It’s like the situation of a baby. Will the baby be a girl or a boy? But in this case, after several months, the problem will be solved. Unlike the enigmatic smile of Mona Lisa which is still unclose for so many decades or even centuries.

          All I can see in the painting is a simple and beautiful woman who let her painter become more famous as his time passed by. And for me, the painting is unfinished. And the problem will be solved if the painting is finished, maybe. But of course, the painter’s goal is to catch everyone’s attention and interest. Leonardo da Vinci made it so perfectly that it earned a lot. Mona Lisa’s painting who made him famous and richer. An excellent artwork!
