It doesn’t Matter
We know that Filipinos are greatly known
for their patriotism and being proud of our own country. Here, in the Philippines , we
have different dialects that we’re using to communicate to each other. Ilocano,
Hiligaynon, tagalog and many more. But despite that we have different dialects
that maybe some of us can’t understand it actually. We still have the capacity
to feel what the message is. What if most of the Filipinos wished to learn the
language of other country like English? Does it have advantage to us? Or is
just because we are not contented on what God had given us?
In our school subjects, we included the
English and other subjects that uses English words. Some says that we should
not study about it because it’s not our native language. When they are watching
movies, they preferred to watch a tagalong version even though it came from
other country. They used to translate English books in tagalog,to understand it
clearly? For me, it’s not prohibited to do such thing but since we are also
known for being obedient, we should show respect the meaning of the story. If
we can’t understand English, why not do our best and study more about it. It
depends on us how to enhance and manage our patience. Because everything we do affects
and reflects on us.
So for me, it’s our role to patronize our own
culture including our dialects but it’s also our role to develop and try realizing
other countries’ traditions. Trying other countries’ culture is not being disloyal
to our country. It’s our way to learn and discover new things that we know will
contribute on us.
